The final result of the Lord's death on the cross, of course, is His resurrection. Yes, it is His resurrection unto eternal life in a brand-new glorified body spiritually renewed.It is because the Lord's resurrection from the dead that those who welcome His sacrifice on the cross receive the great eternal inheritance prepared for them "...before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love" (Ephesians 1:4 KJV).

If you dare to receive the ultimate revelation of who your Savior is, if you dare to have enough valor to face a gloom and doom world regardless of the consequences it might bring, if you dare to do right by it for what you have received from Him that lives forever and ever and share with its inhabitants "God's Good News of His Kingdom," then you shall have God's backing and all the power of Heaven accompanying you wherever you go and whatever you set out to do.I will put it like this, have you ever been to an elaborate theatrical production during which the curtain remains up through intermissions so you can see the workers shifting and turning the huge sets or props on their groaning sleds and rollers? That's what I'm reminded of every single time when I start a to read chapter fifty-three of the prophet Isaiah. But nowadays in the so-called microwave generation that we find ourselves trapped in, readers have lost their sense of suspense, the sense of romanticism, they have less patience, less imagination but are as thrice more demanding when it comes to the material they read if they read at all.

There is simply less and less imagination on the part of the modern reader. Every thought has to be delivered swiftly and very clear and if I may add, without putting the reader through too much stress less they become effete and we lose them in the process. Nothing can be left out to be understood through suggestions of thought and certainly this is not the case with the tenth chapter of Edmund's new book The Providence of Prayer, The Iniquity of Us All.
