Description
A look at an artist whose work crosses the boundaries between painting and sculpture and walks the sensitive line between abstract and representation.
Zigi Ben-Haim is a painter and sculptor who works with aluminum, wire mesh, burlap, newsprint, and unconventional materials. His constant reinvention gives his work a dynamic and powerful vibration that sparks curiosity in its viewers and never fails to surprise.
The creative essence of Ben-Haim’s work lies in balancing the tension between opposites, keeping the work exciting while constantly introducing new materials and images. He finds ways to introduce new personal, natural, and urban environments to highlight his direct and unpredictable concepts. Observing his paintings, sculptures, or drawings on paper, one can feel the movement of the colors that are inspired by our natural world. His art is a blend of recycled materials and profound symbolism, inviting viewers to explore the layers of meaning in each piece. Including 175 color images, this book explores Ben-Haim's five decades as a global artist.
