The flora of Armenia is one of the most diverse and interesting in the world and includes many favourite garden plants and their relatives. Tamar Galstyan graduated from the University of Art and Theatre in Yerevan, Armenia and later studied ecology and began working as a teacher. She has traveled widely in Armenia, Georgia, Iran and Central Asia taking outstanding photographs which feature on her website, popular Facebook page ‘Plants of Armenia’ and now in a book. Tamar's deep knowledge of the region's flora is shared with many as she guides botany trips in the region.
