ABOUT THE MENIERE MAN SERIES

When the Author was diagnosed with Meniere's, his ENT specialist handed him an A4 leaflet and told him to keep away from stress and to not eat salt. That was it There were no books on the subject in bookstores or libraries. He had to take recovery into his own hands. He recorded daily accounts of what worked and didn't work, until he amassed four years of handwritten diaries, daily journals and notebooks.

Since publishing the first self-help memoir and a complete series of self-help books, the author hopes that the world for Meniere's sufferers, is a less frightening place.

About the Author


At the height of his business career, the author suddenly became acutely ill. He was diagnosed with Meniere's disease. But the full impact of having Meniere's disease was to come later. He was to lose not only his health, but his career as well. He also began to lose all hope that he would fully recover a sense of well-being. It was his personal spirit and desire to get "back to normal" that changed his life for the better. He decided that you can't put a limit on anything in life. Rather than letting Meniere's disease get in the way of recovery, he started to focus on what to do about getting over Meniere's disease without surgery or drug dependency. And that's just what he went on to do. He cooned the phrase " triggers" then set about working out what triggers for Meniere's were. Today his findings are widely quoted all over the internet. meniere Man continues to support Meniere's research worldwide. His articles are published in Europe and Australia in Meniere support group magazines; he gives talks and volunteers his free time to conduct one-one one mentoring via phone and face to face to help Meniere patients cope and manage. These days life is different for the Author. He is a fit active man who has no symptoms of Meniere's disease except for 90% hearing loss and tinnitus in one ear he will always have. Following his own advice he continues to avoid salt, stress, takes vitamins, exercises regularly and maintains a positive, mindful attitude. He does not take any medication. All the physical activities he enjoys these days require a high degree of balance and equilibrium. He has a firm belief that if you want to experience a marked improvement in health, you can't wait until you feel well to start. You must begin to improve your health now, even though you may not feel like it. He knows, 'The more you do, the more you can do'. Today the Author is a writer and painter. He is married and has two adult children. He enjoys the sea, cooking, travel, photography, nature and the great company of family, friends and his dog Bella.
